About Us

SSYouTube is a small, focused tool with one job: getting the YouTube video or sound you need onto your device, quickly and without fuss.

What SSYouTube does

SSYouTube is a free web tool that saves YouTube videos as MP4 files and turns them into MP3 audio. It runs in your browser, so there is no app to install and no account to create.

How it works

Three short steps take you from a link to a file:

  1. Copy the link of a YouTube video or Short.
  2. Paste it into SSYouTube and choose MP4 or MP3 and a quality.
  3. Tap a quality and the file opens right away in a new tab.

Formats and qualities

MP4 video comes in 144p, 240p, 360p, 480p, 720p and 1080p. MP3 audio comes in 320, 256, 192 or 128 kbps. Before you download, every video quality shows its real file size.

Honest limits

We keep our promises small and true. The top video quality is 1080p, only public videos can be saved, and download links expire after a few hours. Private, removed or blocked videos show a clear message instead of a file.

Made for phones

Most people save videos on their phone, so SSYouTube is designed for small screens first. The link box and the quality list fit on one screen, and this page stays open while your file opens in a new tab.

Not affiliated with YouTube or Google

SSYouTube is an independent service and is not affiliated with YouTube or Google. Please only save videos that you have the right to use.
